The aim of JESIP is to help our emergency services save more lives when we experience major and complex incidents by working better – together.
JESIP has introduced a national standard to multi-agency joint working in the UK. When JESIP is used every day by responders, the emergency services will be able to provide a consistent joint emergency response to incidents, wherever the incident may take place across the country.
It will take some time for all services to integrate JESIP and for staff to use JESIP as a matter of routine. Below is a table that shows the intended positive improvements JESIP will bring across the four JESIP areas of work. You can download a copy by clicking on the image below.
