Emergency Services

All staff involved in emergency response and working for the police, fire and rescue, ambulance along with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency should be aware of JESIP.

All emergency services should be:

  • Aligning any relevant policies & procedures to the JESIP Joint Doctrine
  • Aligning emergency response plans to the JESIP Joint Doctrine
  • Integrating JESIP into existing learning & development programmes so that all levels of staff can access the training they need to learn about JESIP and how to apply it
  • Incorporating JESIP into multi-agency exercises so that staff have the opportunity to apply JESIP in a realistic environment
  • Enhancing existing de-brief procedures to gather learning from both exercising and incidents that may impact on interoperability with other services
  • Utilising the new Joint Organisational Learning (JOL) App to share that learning as well as learning from others
