JESIP working with key partners across the country, have developed a number of training products to help responder organisations embed the interoperability principles. This ensures that the Joint Doctrine continues to be delivered consistently. These include:
- JESIP Interoperability Leadership Training – a one-day facilitated multi-agency course designed for control room personnel, leaders and those responsible for coordinating, supporting or managing a multi-agency response. The course focuses on leadership, communication, coordination, decision-making and the practical application of JESIP principles and tools.
- The course has been developed collaboratively with responder organisations and resilience partners from across the UK, incorporating learning from incidents, exercises, operational reviews and feedback from the responder community.
- Training materials are available through ResilienceDirect and are only accessible to approved JESIP Trainers.
- The JESIP Trainer Specification sets out the requirements, approval process and quality assurance arrangements for Local and National JESIP Trainers.
- All existing recognised JESIP Trainers will continue to be approved in accordance with the Trainer Specification and remain authorised to deliver JESIP training.
- Become a JESIP Trainer – JESIP welcomes applications from suitably experienced individuals who wish to deliver the JESIP Interoperability Leadership Training course and support the development of interoperability across the responder community.
- JESIP Trainer Specification – details the eligibility criteria, application process and approval requirements for both Local and National JESIP Trainers.
- JESIP Local Trainer Application Form – for individuals seeking approval as a Local JESIP Trainer.
- JESIP National Trainer Nomination Form – for experienced trainers seeking approval as a National JESIP Trainer.
- Only trainers approved in accordance with the Trainer Specification are authorised to deliver the JESIP Interoperability Leadership Training course.
- Awareness products – these can be used stand-alone or incorporated into wider JESIP training courses and/or as refresher material
- E-learning – an e-learning package to improve awareness across all responder organisations.
- Videos – a number of videos films to highlight key elements of JESIP as well as the capabilities of key services. These videos are available on our YouTube channel.
- Mobile application – an interactive aide memoire to ensure responders always have key JESIP information at their fingertips.
